High Hopes

There are 113 million adolescent girls in India, accounting approx 11% of the total population. Violent behavior and fixed dominant mindset about girls is fairly common across the nation and is manifested in various aspects of their lives – gender discrimination, early marriage, domestic violence, early pregnancy, malnutrition, health problems – all these are a result of prohibition of education and lack of awareness among girls.

Therefore TOF establishes two important pillars towards a better future of the girl child by investing more research, resources and programs for empowering adolescent girls :-

By educating adolescent girls and delaying child marriage issues like maternal mortality, child survival, gender based violence and HIV can be resolved.

By educating adolescent girls more families can be educated and the cycle of poverty can be broken, In another way they lead to the progress of the nation
