Every year we celbrate Interntional Women’s day on 8th March.International Women’s Day has occurred for well over a century with the first gathering held in 1911.The campaign theme for International Women’s Day 2021 is ‘Choose To Challenge’. A challenged world is an alert world. And from challenge comes change. So let’s all #ChooseToChallenge.

Girls and women have very less or no knowledge about reproductive tract infections caused due to ignorance of personal hygiene during menstruation time. In cluster areas, women do have less access to sanitary products or they know very little about the types and method of using them or are unable to afford such products due to high cost. So, they mostly rely on reusable cloth pads which they wash and use again. Needs and requirements of the adolescent girls and women are ignored in these areas.

Therefore The Om Foundation #chooseToChallenge on Menstural HYGIENE. Sanitary Napkins were distributed to girls and women living in theclusters .Chairperson Rashmi Malhotra explained the importance of hygiene during these days and encouraged everyone to use napkins.
