Nation building-Drawing competition, celebrating Independence Day 2024

The OM Foundation Charitable Trust celebrated India’s 78th Independence Day with vibrant festivities, marked by a drawing and poem competition under the theme “Tiranga Uncha Rahe Hamara.” The event, spearheaded by Chairperson Rashmi Malhotra, saw enthusiastic participation from 60 underprivileged students of Om Pathshala.
The celebration was graced by esteemed chief guests, including  Gaurav Sanan (VSM), social activist Smt. Neetu Sanan, SHO Naraina Vihar Sh. Satish Kumar, and members of Sri Gurudwara Guru Singh Sabha Naraina Vihar, Sh. Jasbir Sachdeva, and Sh. Gurumandir Singh Sethi. They were warmly welcomed with a Tiranga shawl and a green plant, symbolizing the nation’s spirit and commitment to environmental conservation. Smt. Veenu Karwal, vice president of the Foundation, and Sh. Pankaj Sachar, the Foundation’s CA, were also actively involved in organizing the event.
The program concluded with the distribution of prizes to five winners, while children who sang patriotic songs received consolation prizes. Refreshments were served to all attendees, contributing to the festive atmosphere. The guests inspired the children, emphasizing their role as the future of India.
For 13 years, the OM Foundation has been empowering underprivileged children, particularly girls, with the motto “Beti Padhao Desh Badhao.” Through events like this, Rashmi Malhotra and the Foundation are making a significant impact by fostering a sense of national pride and providing platforms for the holistic development of these young minds. She in the true sense Nation building.
