On the occasion of International Women’s Day, The Om Foundation Charitable Trust organized a women’s awareness program at the C Block Community Centre in Naraina Vihar, New Delhi with the underprivileged women of Rajiv Gandhi Camp.

During the event, women were greeted with Holi wishes, and organic gulal was distributed along with sanitary pads to promote menstrual hygiene.

The foundation’s president, Rashmi Malhotra, stated that the main objective of the program was to highlight the various shades of womanhood and enhance their self-esteem. She emphasized that the foundation has been committed to women’s empowerment and children’s education for the past 13 years. With the festival of Holi approaching, the event also conveyed the message of environmental conservation by encouraging the use of organic gulal for celebrating Holi.

The event’s chief guest, Dr. Sanskriti Jawa (Gynecologist), addressed the women, stressing the importance of maintaining personal hygiene and health during menstruation and menopause.

Additionally, Nutritionist Parul Behl shared her insights on nutrition with mothers and daughters saying “Healthy body contains healthy mind and soul. HEALTH IS WEALTH.”

The program concluded with everyone applying gulal to each other and exchanging festive greetings.
