HOLI Hai !!

HOLI festival  is held on the last full moon day of the month. This festival sees people smearing bright colours on friends and family and offering prayers. Holi is based on the Hindu legend of Holika, a female demon, who tries to kill her nephew Prahlad in fire because he worships God Vishnu. But she gets burned in the fire and Prahlad is saved. Giving a divine message of victory of Good over Evil.

Next day  Holi is celebrated with more fun and play. Children of OM Pathshala also played Holi with smearing herbal colours of gulal on each other faces and wishing Happy Holi and hailing HOLI HAI…with great enthusiasm.

Chairperson Suryaputry Rashmi Malhotra and teachers also participated in the festival. She believes that all festivals are carriers of peace, joy, love and prosperity in the communities. India is one of the largest countries to celebrate numerous festivals. India being a very cultural and diverse country we must celebrate all festivals to bring unity in diversity. Therefore The OM Foundation celebrates all festivals with great pomp and show.

Underprivileged children were given packets of different colours of Gulal to celebrate HOLI at home….
