Seminar on Durga Shakti Women Empowerment

The OM Foundation organized DURGA SHAKTI program at TRIVENI KALA SANGAM, New Delhi to celebrate the auspicious Navratras. There are million of adolescent girls in India who are targets of Gender discrimation, early marriage, early pregnancy, domestic violence and health problems. Therefore the OM Foundation majorly focuses on investing in the programs to educate people that by educating girls more families can be educated and the cycle of ill-literacy and poverty can be broken.
In this program a Dance Ballet on Durga Shakti was played by the students of Dance Guru . The play depicted victory of woman power over the demons of today’s society when Maa Durga kills the Demon Mahishasur. In second round students of Gayetri College of Delhi University displayed the woman’s insecurities, her strength and achievements through a play.
The chief Guests of the program were Mrs. Pinky Anand (Addl. Solicitor General of India), Mr. Joginder Singh (Former CBI Director) and Acharya Kishore Dass Swami ( Parmadhdhyaksh of Swami Ram Tirath Mission). They talked on the women power since Vedic Times and its importance in today’s times. They put light on Women’s safety, security and power.
The program was concluded by distributing books and school bags to the students of OM Pathshala by the distinguished guests. The refreshments were also provided in the end.
