There are Millions of adolescent girls in India who are targets of gender discrimination, early marriage, early pregnancy, domestic violence and health problems. These all happen due to prohibition of education and lack of awareness among these girls. Therefore the OM Foundation majorly focuses on investing in the programs to educate girl child because we feel by educating girls more families can be educated and the cycle of poverty and ill-literacy can be broken.

DURGA SHAKTI is a program where in the first round the power of Maa Durga( a woman) over demon Mahishasur(today’s rapists) is depicted through a Kuchi-Pudi Dance ballet by a dance troupe. We wish to convey the message of enhancing integrity and power among women in times of need.

In second round of our program we are facilitating women writers with Momentoes who have done excellent work in the field of literature.

In third round our Chief Guests will give their expert views on the role of women in Indian era. They will be giving prizes to the girls who are studying under the Trust. Our Chief Guests are very prominent and most respected citizens of the society. They are Hon’ble Mrs. Sumitra Mahajan( Lok Sabha Speaker), Mrs. Hema malini(MP Lok Sabha), Sonal Mansingh( Padam Vibhushan,Indian Classical Dancer), Mrs. Meenakshi Lekhi(MP Lok Sabha),Mr. Chanda Mitra(MP and Editor of The Pioneer News paper)and Mr. Jogender Singh(Ex. CBI Director).
