“SAFALTA KI UDAAN” – Honoring the Achievers from Sewa Basti
The OM Foundation Charitable Trust successfully organized an inspiring felicitation ceremony titled “Safalta Ki Udaan” on 20th May 2025. The event celebrated the academic success of 40 students from Class 10th and 12th who passed the CBSE Board Examinations with excellent results, despite coming from challenging backgrounds in the Sewa Basti community.
The event was graced by esteemed chief guests:Mr. Kumar Rahul (DJS) – Magistrate, Patiala House Court & Secretary, DLSA;Mr. Indraj Singh Meena – ACP, Naraina and Mayapuri;Dr. Swarupa Mittra – Director, Radiation Oncology, Fortis Cancer Institute;Mrs. Rashmi Malhotra – Chairperson, The OM Foundation; Mr. Ramesh Gupta – Patron The Om Foundation.
Each guest added immense value with their presence and words of wisdom.
Dr. Swarupa Mittra highlighted that nutrition, moral values, and a strong fighting spirit are essential for children from underserved areas and congratulated the students on their impressive achievements.
Mr. Indraj Singh Meena urged the students to keep studying with dedication, applauding the support and educational opportunities provided by Mrs. Rashmi Malhotra and The OM Foundation.
Mr. Kumar Rahul motivated the students with the words: “Be whatever you want to be – in sports, law, art, music, or any other field – but pursue it with unwavering dedication.”
Mrs. Rashmi Malhotra, Chairperson of The OM Foundation, described the event as not just a felicitation but a celebration of courage, effort, and dreams. She said, “These children from Sewa Basti have shown that even in tough circumstances, one can achieve great heights through hard work and dedication.”
The students were thrilled and honored to receive certificates and mementoes directly from the hands of such dignitaries. The hall echoed with applause and joy as proud parents, teachers, and guests appreciated the students’ success.
The program was smoothly anchored by Mr. Praveen Singh Pandit. Teachers Ms. Monika and Ms. Palak from Om Pathshala ensured seamless coordination, while students Kumkum, Srishti, Komal, Bharti, Khushi, Sunil kumar contributed actively to the event’s success.
The chief guests were warmly welcomed with green potted plants and Angvastra by Mrs. Rashmi Malhotra, along with Mr. Kunal Bahl (Vice President, TOF), Mr. Pankaj Sachar (CA, TOF), and Mrs. Veenu Karwal (Vice President, TOF).
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks from the Chairperson, who expressed gratitude to Gurudwara Shri Guru Singh Sabha Naraina Vihar, the distinguished guests, parents, and the dedicated team of The OM Foundation. Refreshments were served, marking a joyful end to an unforgettable celebration of success and inspiration.
